Calypso
Pacific Island Cruise
Operated by Calypso Cruises
Duration: 12 hours
Price per person: $99.00
Sun,
sea and super fun on a 100 passenger catamaran cruise in the
Gulf of Nicoya to Isla Tortuga. Depart San José early
in the morning and travel, via air-conditioned bus, to Puntarenas
(approximately 2 1/2 hours). Continental breakfast will be
served on the bus, and coffee is served on arrival at the
dock.
Designed from passengers' suggestions over the years, the
Manta Raya features an underwater viewing window, fresh water
shower area and full bar. The spacious main salon opens to
an expansive deck area which includes two jacuzzi pools, allowing
passengers to cruise in luxury and comfort. Manta Raya's aqua-jet
propulsion allows for shorter travel time and more time at
the beach or snorkeling. A ramp is attached to the Manta Raya
on arrival to the Island, allowing you to disembark directly
onto the beach.
The cruise passes seven different islands, including the famous
Isla San Lucas, location of the former prison, before passengers
disembark on Isla Tortuga. Appetizers are served prior to
lunch and a full bar is set up on the island. A freshly prepared,
hot lunch is served mid-day with chilled white wine, followed
by dessert and coffee. You will board the Manta Raya mid-afternoon
for the return cruise to Puntarenas. On arrival at the dock,
coffee is served prior to boarding the bus for San José.
Includes: Round-trip transportation San José-Puntarenas-San
José, continental breakfast served on the bus, fresh
fruit and soft drinks on the Manta Raya, lunch with white
wine served on the Island, and the services of a cruise director
throughout.
